Albuquerque Public Arts Program

Albuquerque is one of a few U.S. cities that have implemented a dedicated Public Arts Program through a set-aside percentage of city construction funds derived from its general obligation bond program and certain revenue bonds for the purchase or commission of public works of art on display throughout Albuquerque.

The result is a Public Art Collection that continually grows to reflect Albuquerque’s history, cultures, traditions and art infusions. These large-scale works can be found in all Albuquerque directions including the Albuquerque International Sunport (airport), Historic Old Town, the Downtown District, in the University/Nob Hill area and from the foothills of Sandia to the Rio Grande. The Albuquerque Public Art Collection finds its strength and beauty in reflecting the spirit, diversity and creativity of its people.

So to our visitors, we invite you to experience our collection. Below is a sampling of what you’ll discover, where and to whom credit is given. Please enjoy.
