The story began long before the Spanish founded the city of Albuquerque in 1706. It really began thousands of years ago when prehistoric Indians settled and cultivated the banks of the Rio Grande River. They were the ancestors of the Pueblo Indian Tribes that experienced tumultuous times with the Spanish explorers that claimed their territory for the Crown of Spain.

After almost a century of unrest, the Natives and the Spanish came to coexist in peace. Today Albuquerque is a thriving metropolis rich in history and tradition where the culture of Native Americans blends with the synergy of historical Spanish influence.
